Solution: Press the TIME or MENU button once to return to the NEXT
(or TAKE) screen. See Page 45.

Problem: NexDose® does not immediately
display after inserting batteries.

inserted properly. Make sure coin cell batttery is inserted in the
proper orientation and pushed in all the way. 2- Replace the batteries.
See page 10.

and does not work.

Problem: Alarms do not sound.
Solution: NexDose® may be set to SILENT mode. See Page 56.

Problem: When looking at information in the
NexDose® menu screens, the
NEXT / TAKE screen suddenly appears.
Solution: This is normal. After 15 seconds, during which no button

Problem: You are unable to program your NexDose®.
Solution: It may be LOCKED to prevent accidental changing of the
regimens. See Page 65.

Problem: NexDose® screen is blank.
Solution: This could occur if the NexDose® was left long enough
for the
batteries to fail. Replace AAA batteries first. 1- If the time is
correct
and your regimens are correct you may continue to use your NexDose®
. Be sure to replace the coin cell battery as soon as possible to
avoid future problems. See page 10. 2- If the unit does not display
the correct time, and your regimens are lost, replace the coin cell.
Then follow the "Initial Setup" and "Medication Setup"
procedures beginning on pages 39 and 22. If your NexDose® was
programmed for you contact your heallth care provider.

key is depressed.
Solution: Try pressing the key in further and holding it in the
depressed
position for at least one second. See Page 41.

Problem: NexDose® keeps saying you need
to RENEW your medication
but you have enough.
Solution: The RENEW feature may be turned on, and if the number
of
doses you have has not been entered, NexDose® will automati-cally
assume you are out of meds. Reset the RENEW feature. See Page 53.

Problem: NexDose® displays Bat-Low in
the NEXT or TIME screens.
Solution: Replace batteries. See page 10.

Problem: NexDose® alerts to replace batteries
but none are readily
available.
Solution: Use VIEW to make a list of your medication schedule. Conserve
power by selecting SILENT from the ALARM BUZZ feature, page
56; and by keeping your use of the NexDose® special features
to
a minimum.

the meal time settings I am
trying to enter.
Solution: Meal time settings must obey the following rules: Breakfast
and
Lunch must be separated by at least 4 but not more than 9 hours;
Lunch and Dinner must be separated by at least 5 hours; and,
the total elapsed time between Breakfast and Dinner can be no
greater than 14 hours. See pages 17 and 63.

Problem: The code you enter does not allow
you to lock or unlock your NexDose®.
Solution: The code you are entering is wrong.
1- Contact your health care provider to get the proper code and
record it in a safe place.
2- Use NexDose® PC-Software to determine the proper code.
