Diabetes

Patients with diabetes may be on injected insulin (shots), oral medications or both. It is critical that patients take insulin properly to manage blood sugar and avoid the complications of diabetes, such as kidney damage, eye damage, and poor circulation. Aside from high blood sugar, many persons with diabetes also have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart disease. All this can make for a confusing medication schedule.
