Cancer
Patients with cancer have special medication burdens.
Complex treatment protocols have been designed for most cancers.
Some medications kill tumor cells, while others try to help the
"good cells" survive. Antibiotics are often taken to avoid
infection while the body's resistance is down. If the medications
are not taken properly, the cancer cells may survive, or the patient
may catch an infection that, while routine for a healthy person,
may prove life threatening for a cancer patient. NexDose® can
handle complicated regimens, including "day-of-the-week"
regimens (like Monday, Wednesday, and Friday doses), that are commonly
used in cancer therapy.
