Special Uses
Steroid tapers
By using the slots for three medications and the start
and stop date feature, NexDose® can be used to direct steroid
therapy. For example the patient can take medication 3 times a day
for one week, 2 times a day for the second week and once a day during
the final week.
Transdermal Patches
NexDose® can remind patients to change those hard-to-remember
patches like opiods, contraceptives, or nicotine.
Custom Templates
Using the PC Interface, standard regimens can be created
and used for multiple patients, useful for enhancing compliance
for clinical trials, chemotherapy protocols, or HIV patients.
Alternate Day Antibiotics
Use the "day of the week" dosing regimens
for medications like TMP/SMX to be taken Monday, Wednesday and Friday
only.
